Our client is a major UK headquartered global law firm, with an established and longstanding reputation in the jurisdictions within which they operate.

The firm's Insurance/Reinsurance Group handles a wide range of interesting matters including:
- Defending Insurance claims work, including Professional indemnity disputes (defending claims against Solicitors, finance professions, insurance brokers, construction professionals).
- Financial lines, Warranty & Indemnity, marine, reinsurance and cyber risks.
- Complex policy coverage matters.
- Insurance advisory (including drafting and advising on binding authority and claims handling agreements, service agreements and Terms of Business Agreements (TOBAs).
The client base is enviable and includes many of the market's leading insurers and major brokers. The team are known for being highly commercial in their advice, and working here offers the prospect of working closely with key clients, and also being encouraged to develop your own contacts/network in the market.
The team is busy and growing. As such, they are looking to add to their London team with the addition of at least one Associate with more than two years' PQE.
In order to be considered for a role in the team, you will have:
- Qualified as a Solicitor and gained AT LEAST 2 years' PQE within a recognised insurance department, ideally with a focus on policy and defence work.
- The ambition to succeed and have commitment, investing the time and care needed to grow your expertise as well as develop and maintain successful client relationships.
- A strong academic background.
- Sound judgement and good interpersonal/consultancy skills.
- The ability to communicate succinctly, and form strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
